About the Role We're seeking an experienced and passionate Experience Designer II to join our team at Verizon. As a key member of our Experience Design team, you'll have the opportunity to impact one of the largest consumer presences in America, supporting millions of daily customer interactions across an omnichannel ecosystem and a growing consumer product portfolio. With global offices and hybrid work environments, the team is assembling the brightest designers, design strategists, and product managers to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, shaping the future of the customer experience. Key Responsibilities Envision, create, and maintain end-to-end customer activities for various consumer-facing products and services. Work within existing processes to help solve well-defined problems, producing sound, effective design solutions while collaborating with the team to develop new ideas. Apply patterns from the Verizon Design System to create a consistent user experience. Thoroughly explore, refine, and document design solutions. Actively explore user context, and engage in target user activities when possible. Participate in insight-gathering activities (informal or formal, primary or secondary) and create design solutions that leverage user insights. Actively research competitive products, industry trends, and topics. Stay updated on Verizon's business, strategy, and organizational structure. Effectively design solutions within Verizon's business context and revenue model. Maintain a working knowledge of UI standards for common platforms (iOS, Android, Web). Work within Verizon's front-end and back-end technology constraints and capabilities. Give and receive constructive feedback. Participate in identifying appropriate design problems and opportunities within a brief. Generate multiple credible design solutions with guidance. Manage time appropriately aligned to team objectives and projects. What We're Looking For We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Experience Designer II who possesses the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Three or more years of relevant work experience. Experience with common design software (Figma, Adobe, etc.). We also welcome candidates with the following additional qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design. Portfolio of professional work. Experience with Agile software delivery environments. Contributed to multiple design programs or shipped products with a large user base. Contributed to overall product success. Experience with Fortune 500 organizational environments.
