Position Overview The Enrollment Services Specialist I will play a crucial role in our Spartan One-Stop (SOS) initiative, providing a unified and personalized student service experience. This position involves counseling, coaching, and advising students on various service needs, ensuring a culture that supports student success, retention, customer service, and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Student Service Experience: Deliver a first-class student service experience through various engagement modalities, including in-person, online, and phone interactions. Counseling and Advising: Counsel, advise, investigate, problem-solve, and resolve inquiries from students, families, faculty, and staff. Case Management: Act as a case manager, considering a holistic view of student service matters, and provide routine follow-up with students to ensure resolution of inquiries. Collaboration: Collaborate with campus partners to resolve student inquiries and problems, focusing on customer service. Financial Aid: Analyze and interpret complex financial documents to determine aid eligibility, and resolve problems with financial aid packages. Registrar Services: Access, view, verify, analyze, and enter data into the student information system, and interpret university policies and procedures. Student Accounts: Analyze, inform, and resolve problems regarding students' bills, charges, or credits, and serve as a resource to students and parents on payment options. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Education: Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a two-year college degree program with one year of applicable experience or a minimum of three years of expansive work experience in customer service and/or a higher education institution. Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, critical thinking, and administrative skills. Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and competent in learning new student service technologies. Preferred Qualifications: Experience: Position-related experience in Student Accounts, Registrar, Financial Aid, and Admissions. Language: Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
