Job Overview As a Quality Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. You will be responsible for approving functional and non-functional requirements implemented by the team, decomposing requirements into test scripts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate defects. Your expertise will be crucial in creating testing protocols, executing automated tests, and maintaining the automated testing suite for a given product. Key Responsibilities: Determine test conditions, including QA test environment, tools, training, build and deployment plans, intra-team conditions, and communication processes. Provide feedback to colleagues regarding the quality of run expectations during reviews. Manage the remediation of defects raised throughout the development lifecycle and create supporting quality reports that are communicated to stakeholders. Develop testing conventions and guidelines to improve end-to-end testing results and share and adopt best practices with the Center of Excellence (CoE) and other Quality Architects. Create and execute automated test scripts to accelerate team velocity through the reduction of manual testing efforts. Maintain the automated testing suite and accompanying framework for a given product. Share test automation practices with developers to promote 'shift left' testing disciplines and practices within a team. Develop functional test plans for complex systems. Test required code changes while working closely with engineers and product owners. Design and develop great test automation, from which others can create repeatable automated tests. Produce API Level Automation using various technologies and tools. Analyze, identify, and validate functional components of a shared service, supporting multiple downstream systems. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies both within the organization and industry and apply them to great effect. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: At least 3 years of automation and testing experience with XML and online Soap/Rest services. 3 years of recent design and development experience in Java or C#. A minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL as well as Execute SQL. At least 3 years of experience in backend testing, writing SQL queries, and testing Stored Procedures. Proficiency with Agile testing methodologies and best practices in a SDET role. Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and within a close-knit team environment. Computer science and engineering skills and similar experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Expert, Git, JDBC, Splunk. Experience in Unit Testing frameworks like Junit/TestNG. Experience with UI automation tools, ideally Selenium Web Driver. Testing and automation experience with MS VSTS technology stack, including TFS, MTM, and Lab Center. Tomcat/Apache knowledge. Travel industry knowledge.
