Key Responsibilities Guide the news team in covering major stories across the UK and abroad, ensuring that the content is accurate, engaging, and meets the high standards of the Express brand. Work closely with the news desk and reporters to generate traffic-driving ideas and develop exclusive stories that captivate the audience. Support and develop the team, playing a key role in team expansion and mentoring to ensure that the content produced is of the highest quality. Edit and manage copy to tight deadlines, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Develop and implement a content strategy that drives engagement and growth, leveraging your knowledge of digital news and your understanding of the Express brand. Mentor and guide junior reporters and editors, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve their skills and performance. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: Exceptional media law knowledge and a strong track record of news editing experience at a national title.
