Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional service and support in the transportation and logistics sector. You will utilize various transportation management systems to assist customers with inquiries, track shipments, and resolve issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen analytical mindset, and familiarity with industry-specific software. Responsibilities • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email, ensuring excellent phone etiquette at all times. • Utilize AS400 and Oracle Transportation Management systems to manage customer accounts and track shipments effectively. • Assist in data entry tasks related to freight management and fleet operations. • Analyze customer needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance their experience. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues related to transportation management systems and ensure timely delivery of services. • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the database. • Provide support in logistics planning by leveraging GIS tools when necessary. Experience • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry. • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) is highly desirable. • Proficiency in data entry and strong analytical skills to assess customer needs effectively. • Knowledge of freight operations and fleet management practices is a plus. • Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
