Role Overview We're seeking a talented and ambitious Business Development Manager to help us generate new business from scratch. This is an exciting opportunity to build a client base from the ground up, develop and implement your own business development strategy, and take ownership of your success. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for securing SMEs in London who require recruitment services for permanent hybrid or office-based staff. Key Responsibilities Build and develop a client base from scratch, leveraging your network, research skills, and business development expertise to identify and secure new business opportunities Work independently with minimal resources, using your initiative and creativity to overcome challenges and achieve your goals Research and identify target markets and businesses in need of recruitment services, using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator to inform your strategy Reach out to prospects via email, phone, and other relevant channels, using your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and secure meetings Qualify leads and schedule meetings or calls for potential clients, ensuring a strong pipeline of new business opportunities Maintain a database of potential clients and keep track of interactions, using data to inform your business development strategy and optimize your approach Provide regular updates on the progress of business development activities, using insights and metrics to drive continuous improvement Essential Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you'll need: Proven experience in business development, preferably in a recruitment or startup environment Experience working with startups or small businesses with limited resources, where you've had to be creative and resourceful to achieve your goals Ability to work independently and meet targets with minimal supervision, using your initiative and self-motivation to drive results A results-oriented approach with a focus on generating high-quality new business, and a strong track record of success in business development Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders A strong understanding of the recruitment industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities Preferred Qualifications and Experience While not essential, the following qualifications and experience would be highly desirable: Experience working in a freelance or contract recruitment environment, where you've had to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Knowledge of LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar tools, and experience using data and insights to inform business development strategy A strong network of contacts in the London SME market, and experience working with businesses in this sector Experience of working in a remote or distributed team environment, where you've had to use digital tools and platforms to collaborate and communicate with colleagues Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Business development and sales skills: the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities, build relationships with clients, and drive revenue growth Communication and interpersonal skills: excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues Networking and relationship-building skills: the ability to build and maintain a strong network of contacts, and leverage these relationships to drive business growth Data analysis and interpretation skills: the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data, using insights to inform business development strategy and optimize results Time management and organization skills: the ability to prioritize tasks, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills and careers.
