What You’ll DoPrepare financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAPSupport the build-out of external reporting function, including SEC forms (10-K, 10-Q, S-1) and investor reporting materialsConduct disclosure benchmarking against industry peers to support management’s disclosure objectives while maintaining compliance requirementsCollaborate with external auditors to facilitate quarterly reviews, annual audits, and technical accounting assessmentsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing financial reporting processes, internal controls, and automation. Monitor the issuance of new FASB pronouncements, advise about changes in reporting requirements and the best approach for implementationAssist with technical accounting research and analysis on non-recurring and complex transactionsCollaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, tax, legal, and FP&AContribute to special projects or ad hoc tasks as neededYouHave a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, related discipline or equivalent military experienceHave 4-7 years of progressive experience at a Big 4 accounting firm and/or in a financial reporting role at a public companyHold a CPA license, or equivalent, requiredFamiliarity with reporting tools and financial systems such as NetSuite and Workiva (WDesk)Strong knowledge of accounting standards and disclosure requirements under US GAAP and SEC regulationsProficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel for analyzing large quantities of data and PowerPoint for creating clear and concise presentationsExcellent attention to detail, with the ability to self-review work and deliver error-free resultsDemonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholdersA problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and propose solutions or alternatives in the face of ambiguityCuriosity and motivation to learn, grow, and develop knowledge in unfamiliar areasAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including strong prioritization and time management skills and adaptabilityNice to HaveExperience with XBRL tagging is a plusExperience working in an accounting firm's national office or accounting advisory practiceExperience working in a startup or high-growth technology environmentExperience with AI, SaaS, or consumption-based business modelsDemonstrated skill in process automation and system implementationsA knack for simplifying complex concepts and building scalable processesComfort handling ambiguity and working with minimal supervisionInitiative to apply knowledge and recommend well-considered improvementsSalary Range InformationBased on market data and other factors, the annual salary range for this position is $169,000 - $253,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
