As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming our organization of thousands of individual merchant companies into a seamless operations organization. You'll work closely with our technology partners to develop cutting-edge tools that our suppliers will use to execute high-value operations efficiently. Job Summary We're looking for a highly motivated and analytical Data Analyst to support our team's work in optimizing business processes, leveraging data science, and streamlining operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. As a Data Analyst at Wayfair, you'll have the opportunity to drive business results, work with large datasets, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Key Responsibilities Develop statistical and analytical models to support cross-functional initiatives and drive business results Collaborate with Data Solutions, Data Visualization, and other teams to ensure seamless rollout of recommendations Apply data engineering and data science techniques to bring solutions to complex questions Serve as the subject matter expert for data, analytics, and visualization within the Global Projects or Supply Chain organization Support wide-reaching development initiatives across thousands of suppliers to improve efficiency and visibility across the supply chain Analyze key performance metrics to identify root causes of performance issues and drive change Regularly communicate performance trends and improvements to senior management and leadership What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Analytics, Math, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, Management, Social Sciences, or other quantitative discipline Experience in a quantitative, business intelligence, data science, or engineering role performing quantitative analysis is a plus Hands-on experience leading quantitative analyses on large datasets; proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.) and structured programming languages (Python, R) Proficient knowledge of SQL (TSQL, Google Big Query, and Vertica incl. aggregate capabilities, joins, etc.) Familiarity with various Data Visualization Tools (Tableau/ Looker/ DataStudio) is a plus High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Results-oriented, collaborative, and inquisitive mindset Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative and team-oriented attitude Experience in delivering successful projects from start to finish on time Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Wayfair, we're committed to the growth and development of our employees.
