About the Role We're seeking an experienced Drum Teacher to join our team of online instructors. As a Drum Teacher for Online Drum Lessons, you'll have the opportunity to teach students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced musicians. With a flexible schedule and the ability to work from anywhere, this role offers the perfect blend of flexibility and fulfillment. Key Responsibilities Teach online drum lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, using a variety of teaching materials and techniques. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs and goals of each student. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment. Submit weekly lesson summaries for payroll verification and maintain accurate records of student progress. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in music education and technology. Scheduling LWY is currently experiencing a high volume of drum lesson inquiries, and we're looking for instructors who can commit to teaching during peak hours (weekdays 4pm-8pm in any of the 4 US time zones). However, we also welcome instructors with other availability, who may receive students more slowly. We're committed to accommodating successful candidates who have additional conflicts, such as graduate work or additional part-time employment. Requirements Must have at least a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in drums or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience teaching drums, with a proven track record of success. High-quality microphone, webcam, and computer required for online lessons. Professional-quality video recording of your music performance abilities (priority will be given to candidates who provide a high-quality recording). Fluency in English and ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Based in the US or able to teach US time zones with US work authorization. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate of $25-$30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation questions will be discussed during the interview process.
