Position Responsibilities:Provide guidance to engineering partners involving export classification of commodities (hardware, technical data, and software)Define classification procedures and requirementsDevelop references and training materialsSupport analysis of engineering data relationships to facilitate export classification activitiesSupport engineering partners with compliance data normalization and quality initiativesProvide support to engineering partners involving licensing and compliance of export-controlled commodities (e.g. technical data/technology, hardware, software)Provide strategic compliance guidance to engineering partners involving international sourcing and work placement to include strategy development, licensing, and export compliance practicesSupport engineering export compliance audits/analysisAdditional responsibilities may include:Develop, plan and implement strategic solutions in support of enterprise objectivesCollaborate with key stakeholders and provide comprehensive regulatory and policy solutions to enhance strategic alliancePartner on initiatives with regulators in a collaborative environmentDevelop and deploy regulatory documentation for high profile activity with significant business risk and/or sensitive policy issues involving multiple programs, agencies and authorization typesAnalyze applicability of global trade control requirementsLead teams in the development and improvement of enterprise processes and proceduresParticipate in industry advocacy groups and supports governmental engagementBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):5+ years in engineering experience involving the design and development of complex commoditiesBachelor of Science degree or higher in aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical engineeringPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Master's degree in related fields of aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical engineeringAerospace and/or Defense industry experienceFamiliarity with export compliance practicesFamiliarity with export classification practicesDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
