Job Title: Principal AI/ML EngineerLocation: HybridPosition Type: FTELevel: PrincipalCompensation: $200,000 – $270,000 (USD)Job ID: #155324About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and innovative Principal AI/ML Engineer to lead the architecture and development of a high-performance AI/ML platform. This is a hands-on leadership role that will drive technical direction, mentor engineering teams, and deliver scalable, secure, and business-impactful AI/ML solutions. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with product, security, and engineering teams, while shaping the long-term AI/ML strategy and advancing platform capabilities. Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, develop, and deploy a scalable and robust AI/ML platformLead the design of complex systems to support advanced AI/ML models and business needsCollaborate across engineering, product, security, and external partners to deliver impactful AI/ML solutionsGuide technical direction and continuous improvement across teamsDefine and execute AI/ML roadmaps; track OKRs and system performanceProvide mentorship and leadership to build an inclusive, high-performing engineering teamContribute hands-on to architecture, development, deployment, and production operationsDrive engineering best practices including automation, quality, and modern development frameworksFoster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and innovationMandatory Requirements15–20 years of large-scale software design and development experienceProficient programming skills with ability and willingness to code in Java and PythonProven experience building supervised and unsupervised machine learning modelsStrong knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (Ray, Spark)Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and TerraformExpertise with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including S3, EMR, LambdaExtensive experience with Big Data and large-scale data platforms, especially for AI/MLStrong CI/CD and Agile software development experienceExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skillsDemonstrated experience mentoring engineers across varying levels of expertiseBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related fieldPreferred QualificationsExperience with Large Language Models (LLMs)Experience with reinforcement learning modelsExperience with SagemakerBackground in payment systems or fintechExperience contributing to open-source AI/ML tools or platformsAdvanced degree in Computer Science or related fieldExperience driving AI/ML strategy or leading AI/ML initiatives across organizationsAbout Us:Founded in 2009, IntelliPro is a global leader in talent acquisition and HR solutions.
