As a Virtual Medical Transcriptionist/Editor, you'll be responsible for transcribing and editing medical records accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner. This is a part-time, flexible opportunity with immediate openings available. Key Responsibilities Transcribe and edit medical records accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner. Review and edit transcribed records for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Meet productivity and quality standards, including completing records on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday per diem. Utilize transcription software and equipment, including a foot pedal and headphones. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Stay up-to-date with changing medical terminology, transcription guidelines, and industry developments. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 1 year of medical transcription experience is a must. Fluent in English. U. S. citizen. Reliable and able to work independently. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field. 2+ years of medical transcription experience. Certification in medical transcription (e.g., RMT, CMT, or CTR). Experience with EHR systems and medical terminology. Technical Requirements Home office set-up with a dedicated workspace. High-speed internal internet (no satellite). USB-Infinity foot pedal (DVI USB foot pedals not compatible). Headphones. Windows 10, Intel I3 or better processor/AMD K4 or better, 8 GB of RAM minimum, and 250 GB hard drive minimum.
