Shift Days Description Hui Huliau Technology Services LLC is currently seeking a Senior SAN Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. The Senior SAN Engineer will support enterprise storage systems for a high-impact federal healthcare modernization program with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role will be responsible for the design, implementation, and sustainment of storage environments that support large-scale data migration, backup, and syndication efforts across hybrid on-premise and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NetApp, HP 3PAR, Pure Storage, and SAN performance optimization. This position requires U. S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and administer enterprise SAN environments including NetApp AFF, HP 3PAR, HP Primera, Pure Storage, and HP Lefthand arrays. Perform routine and advanced tasks such as zoning, LUN provisioning, multipath I/O configuration, and high-availability storage clustering. Execute Snapshots, Snapclones, and replication activities across production, staging, and disaster recovery environments. Monitor and optimize SAN performance, capacity utilization, and fault tolerance across over 9 PB of storage infrastructure. Administer storage management platforms and tools including NetApp OnTap, OnCommand, Unified Manager, HPE Infosight, 3PAR CLI, SPOCC, and SSMC. Coordinate with backup and infrastructure teams to ensure effective integration of SAN with Commvault, Azure archival backups, and SQL Server backup workflows. Produce and maintain documentation such as system topology diagrams, build guides, configuration baselines, and quarterly storage planning reports. Support integration of new storage systems and facilitate migrations from legacy arrays into the production architecture. Provide technical input for hardware refresh cycles, capacity planning, firmware upgrades, and support escalations with storage vendors. Ensure compliance with VA security and operational standards for backup and storage operations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. 8+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-class SAN environments. Expert-level proficiency with NetApp OnTap, HP 3PAR, HP Primera, Pure Storage, and Lefthand storage platforms. Strong experience with SAN backup operations, particularly using Commvault, Snapshots, and Snapclones. Deep knowledge of fiber channel networking, switch configuration (Brocade), and SAN performance tuning. Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex storage connectivity, performance, and availability issues. Familiarity with storage monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, NetApp Unified Manager, HPE SSMC, and Infosight. U. S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting storage infrastructure for healthcare data platforms or large-scale data integration efforts. Familiarity with hybrid cloud backup strategies, including Microsoft Azure GovCloud archival storage. Experience documenting storage configuration for ATO support or compliance audits.
