About the Role The Senior HR Business Partner plays a critical role in driving business results by providing strategic HR solutions and programs to address business challenges. This key leadership position partners closely with Sun Country management on business initiatives and employee engagement, driving alignment of leadership and employees with the business goals of the organization. Key Responsibilities Establish trusting relationships and foster a deep understanding of the business, including functional drivers (financial, passenger experience, safety, etc.) to facilitate initiatives that drive business objectives. Act as a trusted advisor to leaders by presenting different perspectives and challenging assumptions. Provide expert-level consultation and support to leaders in all aspects of talent management and the employee lifecycle, including organizational development, leadership development, employee and labor relations, recruitment and retention, performance management, and total rewards. Partner with leaders to align current and future business needs into an overall integrated HR plan for the organization, focusing on exceptional opportunities that contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the business. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive improvements, communicate/implement new initiatives, and respond to complaints/concerns to shape and advocate our organization's values and culture. Model and promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, learning, and acceptance, where all employees feel welcomed, valued, and included. Lead or consult on projects or initiatives related to organizational change, workforce planning, organizational design/restructuring, etc. Create reporting that provides and analyzes data/metrics for trends or themes that inform decisions that drive business results. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommend best practices, consistently review current policies and procedures to maintain compliance. Perform other duties as assigned. Leadership Responsibility This role does not have direct people leadership, but it will demonstrate key thought leadership and serve as a mentor and guide for other positions in the department. Qualifications and Education Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships throughout the organization. Proven ability to understand business objectives and then design and implement new strategies, policies, and procedures to drive continuous improvements in business outcomes, productivity, and enhancement of the HR function within the organization. Strong knowledge of HR policies and practices, experience developing and implementing workforce and talent plans, and experience in project management. Proven ability to seamlessly transition between strategic thinking and tactical execution. Proven ability to navigate ambiguity within a complex, dynamic, and rapidly changing business environment. Proven ability to prioritize the most critical work amidst multiple competing needs. Success in driving and managing projects, some of which are large-scale, cross-functional, and strong stakeholder management and alignment. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role regularly uses standard office equipment like computers, phones, scanners, file folders, and other office tools.
