Remote Instructor for Students with Hearing Impairments

Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist in Louisiana Provide much-needed educational support to DHH students in rural or underserved areas via virtual teaching platforms. Work closely with families to ensure equity in access to education and related services. Applicants should be committed to educational equity and innovative in problem-solving. Responsibilities: • Conduct virtual speech and language assessments and evaluations • Develop and implement personalized therapy plans for students • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to provide the best care possible • Keep detailed records of student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary • Provide guidance and support to families and caregivers Qualifications: • Master's degree in a related field • Current LouisianaTeaching Certification • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with communication disorders • Experience providing virtual therapy services is a plus • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Fast/reliable computer & internet connection • No Chromebooks/tablets permitted Highlights: • 1099 Position • Guaranteed Weekly Hours • Hourly rate consistent across direct/indirect hours (dependent on contractor experience/district budget) • School hours • Clinical/Technical Team on standby Use the artsvisual, performance, and mediato enhance learning and self-expression among DHH students in a virtual environment. Incorporate ASL storytelling, drama, and digital arts into daily instruction. A background in arts education or creative instructional strategies is highly valued.
