As a pioneer in the Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT) solutions and operations team, you will work closely with the Head of Decentralized Clinical Trials to foster Walgreens' DCT services, building and delivering flexible, efficient, and patient-centric trials. Job Summary The Director, Decentralized Clinical Trials will be responsible for the effective development and execution of clinical trials, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will also involve managing cross-functional review teams, selecting and managing decentralized trial vendors, and overseeing the development of study documents and plans. As a leader in the DCT team, you will be expected to provide guidance, training, and coaching to colleagues, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and contribute to business development efforts. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute clinical trials, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements Manage cross-functional review teams during all stages of study development, operationalization, and delivery Support the Head of Decentralized Clinical Trials in strategic planning, resourcing, and activation of decentralized and hybrid trials Oversee the selection and management of decentralized trial vendors, including the development of business requirements and management of the UAT process Develop and maintain study documents and plans, including protocols, ICFs, SAPs, DMPs, and security plans Select, train, manage, and coach DCT colleagues, collaborating with Product and Technology leadership to ensure timely and successful deployment of client-facing features Provide oversight for the conduct of remote clinical trial visits, site initiations, and study closeouts with client representatives Participate in business development efforts, including proposal and budget development, and bid defense processes Assist in the development and maintenance of SOPs, policies, and procedures related to DCTs Provide input to the technical team to expand capabilities to support client needs Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as life sciences, pharmacy, or a related discipline Past experience in supporting or CRO roles, developing and leading DCT projects, including budget and scope development Knowledge of and experience managing DCT vendors Deep understanding of the drug and device development process, including decentralized and hybrid trials Working knowledge of ICH GCP, US CFR, and HIPAA regulations Skilled in applying new systems to routine tasks and adapting to technological changes over time Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of leading internal and external teams Ability to work independently, making strategic decisions to operationalize and move clinical trial operations forward Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and prioritizing tasks and resources effectively Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as an MBA, MS, or Ph. D.
