About the Role We are currently hiring Travel Reservation Agents to join our team in our Remote facility, starting in January 2024. As a Travel Reservation Agent, you will play a vital role in assisting our members with planning their dream vacations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring first-call resolution in a fast-paced call center environment. Key Responsibilities Handle member calls in a friendly and efficient manner, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring first-call resolution Use airline and in-house computer systems to make member reservations, confirm reservations accurately, and communicate members' needs to other support departments Maintain regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location, adhering to our high standards of performance and productivity Operate computer, phone (headset), printer, and copier equipment to perform job duties efficiently and effectively Collaborate with other team members to achieve business objectives, share knowledge and skills, and contribute to the continuing growth of Costco Travel Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Effective listening and communication skills, with the ability to understand and respond to members' needs in a clear and concise manner Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on providing exceptional service and ensuring member satisfaction Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute, with accurate and efficient data entry skills Detail-oriented approach to work, with a strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or GED, with a strong foundation in basic math, reading, and writing skills Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Sales experience, preferably in phone sales, with a strong understanding of sales principles and practices Travel industry experience, with knowledge of travel products, services, and destinations Call center experience, with a strong understanding of call center operations and performance metrics Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Internet Explorer, with a strong foundation in computer skills and software applications Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business, including nights, weekends, and holidays Career Growth and Development At Costco Travel, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
