[ad_1] Duration: Expected to be multi year contractLocation: Remote EST hoursOur client is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in AWS to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone with 7+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience who can lead cloud initiatives, optimize infrastructure, and ensure reliability across mission-critical applications. Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.)Implement automation for provisioning, configuration management, and deployments (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.)Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and scalabilityEnsure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, and governance requirementsTroubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and provide root cause analysisCollaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support application delivery in cloud environmentsDrive cost optimization strategies and resource utilization best practicesStay current with AWS services, emerging cloud technologies, and best practicesRequirements:7+ years of cloud engineering or infrastructure experience, with extensive AWS expertiseStrong knowledge of networking (VPC, DNS, load balancing, security groups, firewalls)Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesStrong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog, etc.)Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
