Job Overview In this exciting role, you will be responsible for guiding the CDN transport and daily live-streaming operations for Netflix, collaborating with various production and engineering groups to ensure the successful execution of live streaming tasks. Your expertise will be essential in driving persistent development in resilience, observability, monitoring, instrumentation, and automation, with the primary aim of maintaining fantastically scalable and reliable CDN services internationally with a superior quality of experience (QOE). You will also be involved in enforcing new functions, using enhancements in the streaming offerings transport, and analyzing the effects of a wide range of streaming CDN shipping. Key Responsibilities Drive persistent development in resilience, observability, monitoring, instrumentation, and automation to maintain scalable and reliable CDN services Enforce, automate, execute, and analyze the effects of streaming CDN shipping, focusing on practical, overall performance, resilience, and fault injection checking Coordinate, collaborate, and partner with multiple stakeholders for the easy execution of live-streaming events Mix, examine, and correlate large amounts of server and application performance records, using the revolutionary Netflix large records platform for provider transport optimization and gadget reliability enhancements Participate in an on-call rotation and be capable of working with flexible hours based on the live events timetable Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong and diverse skillset, with a minimum of three years of provider reliability/operational experience walking huge scale, high-performance structures, and net offerings with a focus on live-streaming and video-on-demand (VOD) shipping. You should also have knowledge of and verified experience with CDNs and HTTP cache/proxy technology, as well as expert-level understanding of Unix or Linux machine engineering basics (networking, garage, operating structures) at scale. Essential Qualifications Three+ years of provider reliability/operational experience walking huge scale, high-performance structures, and net offerings Knowledge of and verified experience with CDNs and HTTP cache/proxy technology Expert-level understanding of Unix or Linux machine engineering basics (networking, garage, operating structures) at scale Gifted know-how of networking standards, delivery, and alertness protocols, specifically TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, TLS, and HTTP/S Talented in a programming language including Python or Go Capability to work in a noticeably collaborative environment and to speak effectively with internal and external companions Preferred Qualifications B.
