About the Role: Customer Service Agent - Remote/Hybrid We're excited to offer a full-time Customer Service Agent position that combines the benefits of a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home. As a Customer Service Agent, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing timely and effective solutions to their inquiries and concerns. Key Responsibilities: Build strong customer relationships by responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls, providing personalized support, and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with customers and sales team members to understand their needs, provide product information, and identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell relevant products. Utilize multiple computer programs and systems to manage customer interactions, process orders, and resolve customer complaints. Resolve pricing and invoicing discrepancies, apply credits, and implement return procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing competing demands to meet customer needs and business objectives. Essential Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or similar environment. Ability to commute to our Waterloo, IA facility for onsite training and occasional meetings. A dedicated and secure workspace at home, with minimal distractions and interruptions. Proficiency in operating and navigating multiple PC-based programs simultaneously, with excellent typing skills and attention to detail. Stable internet connection with speeds greater than 5 megabits per second upload, 15 megabits per second download, and ping less than 80 milliseconds. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a hybrid or remote work environment. Familiarity with Grainger's products, services, or industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments. Ability to work in a team-based environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve business objectives.
