The Job: Freelance Swedish Language Instructor As a Freelance Swedish Language Instructor at Berlitz, you will work in a dynamic and diverse environment that values flexibility and creativity. Our hybrid model allows you to balance your time between our remote office and your home, giving you the autonomy to manage your schedule and work style. Key Responsibilities Prepare for lessons by reviewing provided materials and tailoring your instruction to meet the unique needs of each student. Create a supportive and risk-free environment that encourages students to experiment with the language and build their confidence. Document student progress after each lesson, providing valuable insights that inform future instruction. Commit to a minimum of 15-20 hours of instruction per week, with the flexibility to schedule your hours according to your availability. Essential Qualifications To succeed as a Freelance Swedish Language Instructor at Berlitz, you will need: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Native-level fluency in Swedish and intermediate-level proficiency in English. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of diverse learners. A strong foundation in language instruction, with teaching experience preferred but not required. Technical Requirements To ensure a seamless and effective learning experience, we require: A minimum internet speed of 5 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload. A stable wired connection to the internet (Wi-Fi is not sufficient). A PC or laptop running Windows 10 or higher, or macOS 11 or higher (Linux is not supported). A USB headset and camera that meet our technical specifications. A backup system to support your devices in case of power outages or other disruptions. A minimum of 2 GHz of base processing speed and RAM equal to or above 4096 MB (4GB).
