About the Role: Customer Service Agent - Remote/Hybrid We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a full-time Customer Service Agent. Reporting to a Supervisor, Customer Experience, you'll be the frontline ambassador for Grainger, providing top-notch service to our customers via inbound phone calls. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong customer relationships by responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls, addressing their needs, and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with customers and Sales team members daily in a team-based environment to ensure seamless customer experiences. Utilize multiple computer programs to manage customer interactions, including account selection, product identification, order placement, and order management. Resolve customer complaints and issues, such as pricing and invoicing discrepancies, by applying credits and implementing return procedures. Work in a fast-paced environment, using a computer for extended periods, and demonstrate proficiency in navigating multiple PC-based programs simultaneously. Essential Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to commute to our facility in Waterloo, IA, for the initial 8-week onsite training academy. A dedicated, secure workspace at home for remote work, equipped with a reliable computer and internet connection. Proficiency in operating and navigating multiple PC-based programs simultaneously. Stable internet connection with speeds greater than 5 megabits per second upload, 15 megabits per second download, and ping less than 80 milliseconds. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment. Familiarity with CRM software and other customer service tools. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.
