Job Summary We are seeking experienced IT Support Technicians to join our team as Remote Technical Assistance Specialists. As a key member of our IT team, you will provide first-point-of-contact technical support to our clients and internal stakeholders via phone, email, and remote troubleshooting. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional technical support, resolve complex issues, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for: Providing first-point-of-contact technical support to clients and internal stakeholders via phone, email, and remote troubleshooting. Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions to determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by the user. Directing unresolved issues to the next level of support, including vendors and contractors. Maintaining accurate documentation of all reported issues via our Service Management system. Troubleshooting user PCs, tablets, phones, and other computer equipment in a distributed/remote environment. Supporting PCs, laptops, tablets, phones, copiers, printers, and other computer equipment. Supporting Microsoft Office 365 and other desktop applications. Supporting remote customers connecting to enterprise applications. Providing timely technical support to users for various hardware and software configurations used by the organization. Performing preventative maintenance routines on systems, applications, and users regularly or as directed by supervisor. Accurately installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting hardware/software components. Maintaining accurate inventory of all information systems equipment, including hardware and software used by the agency. Assisting the Software Support Team as necessary. Answering phone calls, taking messages, and handling calls as appropriate. Completing accurate and timely documentation. Participating in rotating on-call duties and occasionally working evenings, nights, and/or weekends as needed or as directed by supervisor. Performing other duties and tasks as requested by supervisor. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A pleasant and cheerful demeanor, displays an attitude of helpfulness and cooperation, and the ability to encourage, mentor, and support fellow workers on a daily basis and while encountering stressful situations. An in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge, normally associated with attainments through education and experience appropriate to information systems and technology or related field. A high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree and/or equivalent experience required. A minimum of one year successful experience supporting networked data systems in a business environment required. A customer service-oriented attitude; ability to stay on task without supervision, and attention to detail. The ability to react effectively in an emergency situation in order to direct care of clients or staff. The ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds continuously to move objects. Good physical health to efficiently complete duties required. Excellent computer software and hardware technical skills required. The ability to communicate clearly and make self-understood effectively in face-to-face interactions; articulate with accuracy to communicate using phone. The ability to hear and receive verbal instructions correctly, answer phones, communicate professionally with people in situations with some background noise. The ability to concentrate on fine detail with frequent interruption; ability to focus attention on tasks for 10-20 minutes at a time on a continuous basis, 20-60 minutes on occasion. The ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with staff and a variety of individuals and groups. The ability to work effectively under pressure and remain flexible as priorities change. Excellent professional public presentation skills required. A commitment to and regular exercise of excellent ethical business practices aligned with all state, federal, and international business laws and regulatory requirements.
