Our Accounting team is hiring for a proactive and motivated Revenue Accounting Manager. The focus will be on revenue accounting for the different products of the business and working seamlessly across various departments to close the books timely and accurately. This role offers the unique opportunity to directly impact Better’s P&L by applying finance and accounting related findings to our financials. Responsibilities Drive the month end close process as part of the revenue accounting team by taking ownership of certain tasks and revenue sections of the P&LCreate and review journal entries in the GL along with preparing and reviewing excellent supporting schedulesPrepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations including investigating aged or unreconciled itemsInvestigate and resolve both current and historical issues with our revenue transactionsImplement accounting processes for new revenue streams or initiativesIdentify areas for improvement and drive process improvementsWork with our external auditors to ensure the timely completion of reviews and auditsEducate coworkers regarding financial practices, implications, and policiesProvide ad hoc analysis support to business leaders and key partners for complex accounting questionsServe as a mentor and resource to more junior team members Qualifications Degree in accounting or finance5-7 years of experience in an accounting firm or departmentAt least 1 year of management experienceAdaptable to multiple and frequent changes in business environment Proven expertise with Excel (combining large data sets, sumifs, index/match, vlookups, etc); familiarity with SQL a plusExperience working with Netsuite a plusExperience working at a public company a plusProven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, without losing attention to detailProactively looking to improve on processes; never satisfied with the status quoStakeholder management skillsExperience with industries such as financial technology, mortgage banking, or lending a plus Additional Information Company BenefitsWe are thrilled to offer all our full-time employees the following benefit offerings:- Benefits eligibility effective DAY ONE- *$0 medical plan premium offering coverage nationwide paired with our Health Savings Account that includes an employer contribution (*Additional Medical, dental, vision plan options also all with nationwide coverage)- Flexible PTO- Immediate virtual mental health support by licensed therapists for our employees and their eligible dependents age 6 and up!
