Key Responsibilities In this dynamic role, your primary focus will be on managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. Your key responsibilities will include: Managing business within established supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and company policies. Scheduling each purchase order to support the production schedule or requisition requirement, maintaining minimal inventory while being responsive to manufacturing and other departmental needs. Identifying and communicating any supplier concerns or opportunities internally to stakeholders, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing potential disruptions. Supporting cost recovery initiatives and supplier problem resolution discussions, leveraging your negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Ensuring the adequacy and timeliness of supplier corrective action plans, monitoring progress, and leading corrective actions as required. Coordinating the implementation of cost reduction projects and supplier consolidation, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and proposing strategic solutions. Monitoring cost, schedule, technical, and drawing release status of projects, leading corrective actions as required to ensure project deliverables are met. Entering cost changes, assigning selected suppliers, and supporting sourcing projects to drive procurement efficiency. Preparing and soliciting requests for quotes and proposals based on the defined commodity strategy, ensuring compliance with company procurement policies. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: 1+ years of supply chain experience, with a focus on buying and planning, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience in buying and planning, with a deep understanding of procurement principles, practices, and procedures. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams. Proficiency with ERP systems, with experience using KBM greenscreen or similar systems, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Experience with requests for quotes (RFQs), with knowledge of commodity strategies and procurement best practices. Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable: 2+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record of driving cost savings and process improvements. Certification in supply chain management, such as APICS or ISM, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and industry expertise. Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, with the ability to interpret data and inform procurement decisions. Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders.
