Job Overview We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Regional Director to join our team in a fully remote capacity, based in the Europe region. This is a part-time, voluntary, and unpaid position that requires a commitment of 4-6 hours per week, with flexible working hours that can include evenings and weekends. As an Assistant Regional Director, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our regional operations, leveraging your diverse skillset to formulate and deliver programs, oversee IYF operations, and lead strategic planning initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide management and program support to the IYF Regional Administration, including the identification of strategic program areas, analysis of regional policies, and design of regional programs that align with IYF priorities. Collaborate with the regional team and other units/departments to implement the Regional Plan, ensuring consistency with regional priorities and creative responses to emerging challenges and opportunities. Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders, including government institutions, bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors, private sector entities, and civil society organizations, to achieve program outcomes and support resource mobilization. Develop and implement regional partnerships and resource mobilization strategies, determining programmatic areas of cooperation based on IYF's strategic goals, regional needs, and donors' priorities. Provide strategic oversight of planning, budgeting, implementing, and monitoring of regional programs, ensuring effective management and supervision of program teams and tracking the use of financial resources in accordance with IYF rules and regulations. Essential Qualifications Experience and results in youth empowerment, management, coordination, development, communications, international relations, youth studies, sport, women empowerment, or other relevant fields, preferably at the national or international level. Strong understanding of the youth empowerment sector, including current trends, challenges, and opportunities. Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. Proven ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships, mobilize resources, and develop advocacy networks at the national and international levels. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as international relations, development studies, youth studies, or a related field. Fluency in multiple languages, with a strong proficiency in English. Experience working in a global or regional organization, with a deep understanding of cultural diversity and sensitivity. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other digital tools. Experience with program management, budgeting, and financial reporting, with a strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
