Job Summary As an Information Researcher - RWE, you will be responsible for leading sophisticated data analysis to address critical business questions and inform biopharmaceutical RWE and clinical trial submissions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful insights from real-world data sources, develop and maintain a comprehensive data lake, and perform advanced analytics to uncover new insights into patient populations and treatment outcomes. Key Responsibilities Mine raw datasets to deliver normalized, analysis-ready patient cohorts from in-house data assets or licensed platforms, analyze and interpret results, and help shape investigation strategies. Collaborate with various members of the Walgreens Clinical Trials team to deliver significant insights from real-world data sources, including analysis of unmet needs, effective treatments, treatment patterns, and healthcare economic burden. Clean, transform, and store data into a coordinated data lake for future analysis and broader team utilization. Perform data mining and statistical analysis to analyze RWE/RWD and discover new insights into patient populations and treatment outcomes. Support the development of real-world data, analytics, and platform capabilities, applying advanced analytics and tools to resolve scientific inquiries from biopharmaceutical companies. Contribute to the design and execution of outcomes research studies. Ensure high-quality, thorough, and promptly interpretable deliverables from RWE reviews and analyses. Develop dashboards, analyses, and reports for internal and external use. Conduct due diligence on new real-world data suppliers and vendors, driving RWD quality assessments to inform investment decisions. Requirements Essential Qualifications 2+ years of experience with R, Python, or SQL programming languages. Experience in designing and executing effective and reproducible statistical analyses in the context of epidemiology and observational research with healthcare data. Knowledge of common statistical testing methods, including generalized linear models, regression, decision trees, solo learning, time series analysis, and survival analysis. Experience handling large datasets from various data sources. Experience working with protected patient health information. Familiarity with at least one of the following BI insight tools: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or similar. Preferred Qualifications Mastery in EMR/Health IT, disease libraries, and insurance claims databases. Proficiency in clinical data standards, clinical terminologies, and controlled vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode). Experience with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance guidelines for real-world evidence studies or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR). Experience working with alternative data sources and alternative methods for clinical data collection, particularly those enabled by technology platforms and solutions. Familiarity with trial design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, and computational statistics. Understanding of statistical and AI methods, with the ability to continue self-learning of technical and non-technical skills.
