Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Technical Analyst to support our Operations and Development teams through advanced quantitative analysis and technical insights. This role focuses on leveraging mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and technical expertise to drive data-driven decision making across critical business functions including financial analysis, operational optimization, and cross-functional technical initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and mathematical acumen with the ability to translate complex analytical findings into actionable business insights. Basic QualificationsMaster's degree with strong mathematical focus (Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Operations Research, or related field)1+ year of experience in technical analysis, financial modeling, or math-focused rolesExperience working in fast-paced technology or startup environmentsTrack record of conducting complex technical analyses and presenting findings to stakeholdersAdvanced quantitative and analytical skills with hands-on experience in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and operational optimizationPreferred QualificationsExperience in InsurTech, FinTech, or related industriesBackground in quantitative roles such as financial analysis, operations research, or data scienceAdvanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, MATLAB) and financial modeling toolsExperience with financial systems, accounting principles, and quantitative risk assessmentKey ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Quantitative AnalysisLead complex financial modeling, statistical analysis, and operational optimization projectsDevelop sophisticated forecasting models using mathematical and statistical techniquesConduct quantitative risk assessments and scenario analysis for strategic initiativesBuild automated financial reporting systems and operational dashboardsSupport accounting functions while providing advanced analytical insights for financial planningPerform cost-benefit analyses using rigorous mathematical frameworksCreate predictive models for operational efficiency and resource optimizationTechnical Project Support & CoordinationProvide analytical support for operational initiatives and process improvementsAnalyze complex, multi-workstream projects with technical and quantitative insightsSupport communication and coordination between development, operations, and business teams through data-driven reportingConduct technical analysis of project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategiesEstablish and maintain analytical standards and best practices for technical assessmentsExecutive Reporting & Technical CommunicationPrepare comprehensive analytical reports, technical presentations, and strategic documents working with the existing Operations teamSupport strategic planning sessions and operational reviews with quantitative insightsTranslate complex technical and mathematical analyses into executive-level communicationsCross-Functional Technical CollaborationPartner with engineering teams to provide technical analysis and translate business requirements into quantitative specificationsWork closely with operations teams to analyze processes and identify efficiency improvements through technical assessmentCollaborate across departments to deliver technical insights that drive business decisionsRequired Skills & ExperienceMaster's degree with strong mathematical foundation and 3+ years applying quantitative methods in technical analysis and business operationsAdvanced financial and statistical modeling expertise with proven track record in operational optimizationExcellence in stakeholder communication, including executive-level presentation of complex analytical and technical findingsProficiency with statistical software (R, Python, MATLAB), advanced Excel, SQL, and analytical toolsDeep understanding of accounting principles, financial systems, and quantitative risk managementProven ability to translate complex mathematical and technical concepts into actionable business insights and process improvementsExperience working with development teams and understanding of software development lifecycleSuccess TraitsDemonstrated analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and mathematical precisionThrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments with competing analytical prioritiesProfessional maturity with sound judgment and ability to handle confidential technical and financial informationStrong mathematical problem-solving approach with ability to optimize complex technical and operational challengesExceptional ability to communicate sophisticated quantitative and technical analyses to non-technical stakeholdersDetail-oriented with mathematical precision while maintaining big-picture strategic thinkingPlease note that any emails from recruiters will be printed, then ceremoniously disposed of.
