Key Responsibilities Answer a high volume of incoming calls and chats from members, responding to their inquiries and resolving their issues in a prompt and efficient manner. Determine member needs and provide appropriate solutions, including answering questions about Costco.com, products, and services, as well as investigating and resolving complex issues related to online orders, tracking, and deliveries. Offer compensation and alternatives as needed to ensure member satisfaction and loyalty. Serve as the primary point of contact between Costco.com members, merchants, purchasing, and operations staff, facilitating communication and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Utilize multiple computer programs simultaneously on various screens while on the phone or responding to chats, demonstrating exceptional multitasking and technical skills. Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve order, item, and delivery issues, ensuring that members receive the support and solutions they need. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Certifications/Affirmations: E-commerce Customer Service Specialist Certificate after completion of a 14-day training program. Experience: Previous customer service experience preferred, with a strong background in providing exceptional support and solutions to customers. Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication, computer, and writing skills required, with a minimum typing speed of 30 wpm. Ability to work an flexible schedule, including weekends and split days off. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Solid background in customer service, with a proven track record of providing excellent support and solutions to customers. Ability to adapt and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to take ownership and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Bilingual capabilities an asset.
