Key Responsibilities As an Aetna Data Entry and Virtual Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include: Providing exceptional administrative support to our healthcare team, including data entry, scheduling, and record-keeping Ensuring accurate and efficient data entry, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines Assisting with patient care coordination, including scheduling appointments and follow-up visits Performing administrative tasks, such as opening and closing facilities, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized environment Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and positive health outcomes Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of best practices in healthcare administration Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A minimum of 2 years of medically relevant experience or equivalent Completion of the Dot certification test within 30 days of employment Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including mouth-to-mouth and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training Ability to pass a FIT test and wear a respirator mask when required Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software applications Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience as a licensed provider, with a graduate degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program or equivalent Current National Board Certification and state licensure to practice in the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) role Proficiency in additional languages, including Spanish Experience with patient education and health promotion, including health screenings, social determinants of health, and chronic disease management Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, including EMRs and healthcare management systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Aetna, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
