Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team at St. Mary Campus, working a night shift in our psychiatric department. As a PRN RN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities As a PRN RN in our psychiatric department, you will be responsible for: Effectively using the nursing process in the delivery of patient care, assessing learning needs, and implementing teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of patients, families, and other groups or disciplines. Communicating, delegating, and managing nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly, serving as a leader and partner on the Interdisciplinary Team. Using data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes, embracing concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale, and improving the profession of nursing. Performing other related duties as required, including maintaining involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and departmental strategic goals and objectives. Education and Certifications To be considered for this role, you must possess: A Registered nurse diploma, with a preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing. A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred certification in a clinical specialty area. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate: Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
