Job Summary: CNC 5 Axis Miller Moog Aircraft Group is seeking an apprentice-trained, experienced 5 Axis Milling Machinist to join our team at our facility based in Wolverhampton. As a CNC 5 Axis Miller, you will be responsible for setting and running multiple machine processes, operating CNC 5 Axis Milling Work Centres, and carrying out own 1st off inspection and quality documentation. Key Responsibilities: Set and run multiple machine processes, including CNC 5 Axis Milling Work Centres Operate CNC 5 Axis Milling Work Centres, with a focus on exceptionally close tolerances Carry out own 1st off inspection and complete necessary quality documentation Collaborate with colleagues to drive process improvements and achieve drawing tolerances Utilize relevant inspection techniques and equipment to ensure accuracy and quality Essential and Preferred Qualifications: Recognised engineering apprenticeship Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry Proven knowledge and experience of Matsuura and DMG machines (preferred) Good knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling Proven skills within a multi-axis/complex machining environment Attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on process improvement techniques Security Clearance: Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. If clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role, and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
