The team develops and operates a range of on-device software and Big Data products and applications to support these objectives, processing numerous petabytes and millions of messages daily across various data types. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of engineers to design, develop, and maintain complex data pipelines and applications. Collaborate effectively across multiple business and technical teams to drive project goals and objectives. Drive the engineering efforts that ingest, process, store, and analyze petabytes of telemetry data. Mentor and guide the team to deliver high-quality solutions and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Develop and maintain complex, multi-component big data systems, ensuring high levels of quality, integrity, and performance. Work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of value and trustworthiness. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Multiple years of experience in Data Engineering, with a strong background in tools, systems, processes, goals, and methodologies. Expert-level experience in at least two of the following programming languages and related development tools: Python, Ruby, Java, Scala, Swift, Objective C. Experience with at least one of the following platforms: HDFS, Yarn, Spark, Impala, Kafka, HBase, MapReduce, Kubernetes, Object Store, Flink. A proven track record of building and leading high-performance software teams. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
