As a Customer Service Agent, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving business growth, and contributing to Grainger's mission to Keep the World Working®. About the Role As a Customer Service Agent - Remote/Hybrid, you will be part of a team that reports to a Supervisor, Customer Experience. You will be responsible for handling a high volume of inbound phone calls, building customer relationships, and resolving customer challenges in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Key Responsibilities Build customer relationships by responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls, providing timely and effective solutions to customer inquiries. Work with customers and Sales team members daily to understand their needs, provide product information, and resolve issues. Utilize multiple computer programs to manage customer accounts, identify products, place orders, and resolve order-related issues. Resolve pricing and invoicing discrepancies, apply credit, and implement return procedures to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency while providing exceptional customer service. Essential Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or sales environment. Ability to commute to Grainger's facility from your home. A secure workspace at home dedicated to job activity, with minimal distractions. Proficiency in operating and navigating multiple PC-based programs simultaneously. Stable internet connection with speeds greater than 5 megabits per second upload, 15 megabits per second download, and ping less than 80 milliseconds. Preferred Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing competing demands. Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other customer service tools.
