About the Role As a Custom Circuits Design Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing advanced custom digital megacells, including SRAM memories, on-chip sensors, and ML accelerators data path, used in high-performance/low power SOCs. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to define specifications, design, and deliver high-quality circuits that meet our stringent standards. Key Responsibilities Foster custom circuits to improve chip power efficiency and performance. Collaborate with power teams, PD, and designers to define specifications and requirements. Perform design, analysis, modeling/simulation, circuit level specifications, schematic capture, spice simulation/corner verification across PVT, statistical design, functional verification, and silicon bring-up. Work closely with the layout team to complete the design and oversee design quality. Create and drive circuit methodology to achieve the highest design quality metrics. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent). At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in custom circuit design. Experience in designing low voltage/low power custom circuits. Profound understanding of deep submicron device physics, leakage mechanisms, and technology interactions with device behavior. Strong understanding of device matching, device noise sources (1/f, thermal), external noise sources (supply, jitter), and their impact on high accuracy circuits. Preferred Qualifications To stand out, you'll ideally have: Experience in one or more of the following areas: AI accelerators, SRAM circuits, non-volatile memories, weak/moderate inversion circuits, ultra-low power amplifiers, DC/DC converters, advanced on-chip sensors, high-speed timing, time-to-digital converters (TDCs). Familiarity with scripting languages (Python/Perl or others) and CAD automation tools. Knowledge of industry-standard circuit and design tools. Experience with asynchronous logic verification and social models for asynchronous logic blocks.
