About the Job We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Security Risk Engineer and Data Analyst to play a key role in developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic vision for our risk program. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for using data analysis to improve risk-based decision-making, providing data visualization to stakeholders to reduce uncertainty, and understanding optimal strategies to respond to technology risk. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement effective control plans. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management program that aligns with the company's overall strategy and goals Use data analysis and statistical models to identify, assess, and prioritize risks, and to develop effective control plans Provide data visualization and insights to stakeholders to inform risk-based decision-making and reduce uncertainty Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement effective control plans Develop and maintain key risk indicators, contribute to the development of key control indicators, and key performance indicators for various programs Apply statistical models to risk structures, including FAIR, Monte-Carlo with Spunky distributions, sensitivity analysis, and others Use data security risk expertise to develop loss event scenarios across operating units, business units, projects, and products Interpret internal or external cybersecurity risk assessments in business terms and recommend a course of action Develop templates and educational materials to support self-service risk management activities based on defined risk tolerances Monitor and identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of risk management processes Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, or engineering Strong knowledge of R, Python, SQL, and other programming languages Experience with statistical and data visualization tools, such as Scene or other similar tools Understanding of relevant data collection, data cleaning, and data analysis methods Ability to participate in risk management, governance, and collaborative conversations Ability to participate in and support measured risk assessments and understand the value of subjective data for improvements to quality and engineering cycles Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as a master's or Ph. D. Professional certifications, such as CRISC, CISM, or CISSP Experience working in a risk management or data analysis role in a similar industry Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, such as NIST or ISO 27001 Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure Skills and Competencies Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data sets Inclusivity and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Broad knowledge of how to operationalize the management of risk as part of standard workflow Ability to drive work delivery and take initiative (bias to action) Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Netflix, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
