About the Role: Data Lead, Studio Data Management We are seeking a Data Lead to join the Studio Data Management team within Content and Business Products (CBP), which develops applications that drive growth in content production. Our team oversees data quality for several large operational datasets that are used extensively across these applications. We work closely with product teams to ensure that the data is delivering value to their products while also striving to improve overall data quality through better processes, analysis, rules, and user education. In this role, you will focus on data related to the deals Netflix makes with talent and organizations for the content we put on the service. Deal data is used throughout studio operations, from pitch to play, and it's crucial that this information is accurate, complete, and connected. As a Data Lead, you will help define, analyze, and report on data quality standards to meet business requirements, devise and socialize best practices, and create and implement processes to effectively monitor and fix data issues. You will work with product teams on projects related to product development while also driving improvements to underlying data health. Key Responsibilities: Provide short-term and long-term thinking for deal data needs across the studio, including data quality and data training. Create quarterly objectives to meet short- and long-term business targets and lead the execution of roadmap initiatives. Act as the primary data subject matter expert extensively across the studio, consulting with product management, engineers, designers, and partners on business related to deal data. Work with product management, product DSE, and other partners to define, create, investigate, and report on metrics that provide visibility into various aspects of data quality. Independently define and implement strategies to efficiently scale data quality work. Lead data quality projects to support product development and to improve underlying data quality, creating detailed plans that identify business impact, timelines, and risks and executing on work. Manage stakeholder requests and drive stakeholder alignment when required. Act as a resource for answering clients' data-related help requests. Collaborate with business teams to create and implement more effective processes, best data practices, and educational documentation. Requirements: 3+ years of experience working in data management with databases and/or content management systems. Solid analytical skills and the ability to synthesize data across a wide ecosystem to analyze issues and devise solutions. Strong understanding of workflow and the ability to recognize shortcomings. General understanding of the pitch-to-play lifecycle of content. Knowledge of data lifecycle and data management concepts. Excellent time management and project management skills and the ability to manage timelines for multiple projects. Strong ability to communicate with empathy and clarity to technical and non-technical audiences. Adaptable in an evolving environment. Proficiency with Google Suite and table-based applications (e.g., Excel, Airtable). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SQL. Experience working with product, engineering, and client care teams. Experience in legal operations or studio operations. Experience working at a studio, distributor, film sales, production company, office, management firm, or other entertainment entity.
