You will work closely with our sales and customer engineering teams to understand the needs of our customers and develop solutions that meet their business goals. You will also collaborate with our product management, customer support, and engineering teams to solve product issues affecting pre- and post-sales customer satisfaction. Responsibilities As an Enterprise Customer Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for: Collaborating with sales and customer engineering management to determine staffing levels, establish job requisitions, and lead interview teams to fill open positions. Preparing, training, and equipping the customer engineering team to ensure they are well-prepared to execute in support of annualized business goals. Working with Google Cloud sales team management to identify, qualify, and prioritize opportunities for business growth. Participating in periodic opportunity assessment meetings to provide insights on technical success. Collaborating with the sales account team, customer support, product management, customer solutions, and engineering to resolve product issues affecting pre- and post-sales customer satisfaction. Traveling up to 30% of the time to meet with customers and partners. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Minimal Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience working with a technical team in a cloud computing environment, or a similar customer-facing role. Experience building or leveraging machine learning solutions and developing applications using AI frameworks and methods. Preferred Qualifications: MBA or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with conversational AI and building conversational applications. Experience with document and vision AI. Experience serving in the capacity of a pre-sales, customer-facing discipline engineering manager. Ability to craft a compelling message and tailor it for a given target audience. Potential to combine deep technical knowledge with simple, everyday language to provide a story that is memorable and useful. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need: Strong technical skills, including experience with cloud computing, machine learning, and AI. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, with flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
