Key Responsibilities Drive Design Development: Take ownership of designs from concept to large-scale manufacturing, balancing functionality, reliability, manufacturability, usability, and aesthetic requirements. Create Detailed Designs: Develop and distribute detailed 3D CAD and 2D drawings for designs, including GD&T, materials selection, and manufacturing techniques. Collaborate with Suppliers: Work with global manufacturing suppliers to drive design forward and ensure seamless production. Prototype and Test: Build and investigate prototypes, analyze results of reliability testing, iteratively refine designs, and bring products to large-scale manufacturing. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure design requirements are met and potential risks are mitigated. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree: Four-year certification in Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience: 2 years of experience in bringing consumer hardware products to large-scale manufacturing. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Siemens NX/Teamcenter and experience with design tools, such as CAD software. Preferred Qualifications Leadership Experience: 2 years of experience in technical leadership, providing mentorship to junior members of the product design team. Design Expertise: Experience designing plastic parts, metal parts, and FPC/PCBs for large-scale manufacturing. Integration Experience: Experience integrating camera and display modules into products. Simulation Skills: Experience running thermal and structural simulations using ANSYS. Skills and Competencies Design Thinking: Strong understanding of design principles, including user-centered design and human factors. Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey design intent and risks to cross-functional teams. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate design risks. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing design requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
