Job Summary As a Customs Brokerage Representative II, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with customs regulations, managing documentation discrepancies, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and communicate documentation discrepancy issues with customers and foreign origins Audit commercial documents, apply harmonized tariff schedule codes for accurate duty assessments, and ensure compliance with federal requirements Prepare and file customs entries, follow up on clearance processes, and coordinate freight delivery to designated locations Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues Establish and maintain client relationships, providing exceptional customer service and support Perform administrative tasks, including preparation of reports, presentations, and analysis using various software packages and databases Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and requirements Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations, and other government departments Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications Basic understanding of the Harmonized System (HS) Preferred Qualifications: Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., international business, logistics, or supply chain management) Experience in customs brokerage, international trade, or a related field Certification in customs brokerage or a related field (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Export Specialist (CES)) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
