Who You AreYou're a quality-first software tester with a passion for ensuring reliable, bug-free experiences. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are excited about writing automated tests that simulate real-world user journeys. You’re comfortable working with Ruby-based testing frameworks like RSpec and Capybara, and you enjoy collaborating with developers to anticipate and eliminate issues before they reach users. Automated Test DevelopmentDesign, build, and maintain automated test suites for backend and frontend systemsUse tools like RSpec, Capybara, Selenium, or Playwright to create effective testsEnsure strong coverage across core user flows, integrations, and edge cases2. Quality AssuranceIdentify and prioritise gaps in test coverage and system reliabilityInvestigate test failures and assist in root cause analysisCollaborate closely with developers and QA to triage and resolve issues3. Testing Strategy and Process ImprovementContribute to defining and evolving Avvoka’s automation testing strategyAdvocate for testing best practices and efficient test architectureHelp streamline test execution in our CI/CD pipeline4. Team CollaborationWork with product and engineering teams to understand upcoming features and changesParticipate in planning sessions and provide test estimates and insightsEngage in peer reviews and share QA knowledge within the team5.
