Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support on employee relations matters, including conducting investigations, advising on policy and procedure, and collaborating with our HR, Legal, and other internal partners to ensure that we are providing a fair, consistent, and respectful experience for all employees. You will be the primary point of contact for our production teams and will work closely with them to resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner. Key Responsibilities Support the management of the Production Employee Relations team by handling intake of incoming cases and case entry into the company's case management system. Conduct investigations, including leading witness interviews and gathering evidence. Advise and counsel management and employees on employee relations matters, including policy and procedure, and work closely with the client and senior employee relations partners to ensure that all issues are resolved and escalated when necessary. Draft well-written employee relations investigation-related reports, including case summaries, written warnings, and recommendations. Build strong relationships and collaborate with our internal partners to implement thorough investigations and provide expert guidance on employee relations matters. Engage with employee relations colleagues across The Walt Disney Company to assist with advancing casework and other employee relations initiatives as needed. Assist with promoting knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policy and applicable employment laws to our productions. Handle project work as needed, including training, research, and other tasks that support the business. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A minimum of 2+ years of Employee Relations experience or relevant alternative work experience in HR. The ability to evaluate sensitive and complex employee relations issues in a confidential, objective, and systematic way. Strong consultative skills (client service orientation, negotiation, analysis/synthesis of information, communication, etc.) with a proven track record of partnering with stakeholders to achieve goals. Highly collaborative, confident, and comfortable working with all levels of the organization, including executives and talent. The ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a diverse, fast-paced environment with moderate supervision. The ability to work independently and be part of a team environment while developing highly effective and valued professional relationships with peers, partners, and cross-functional teams. A strong willingness to learn and develop in an HR/employee relations capacity. Excellent presentation and verbal/consultative skills. Proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. The ability to work West Coast hours and travel as needed. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: The ability to conduct a comprehensive investigation independently. Proven ability to resolve employee conflict. The ability to prioritize and demonstrate effective time management skills. The ability to work in both a corporate and production environment. A strong understanding of applicable State and Federal employment laws and general business practices. On-set production experience is liked, but not necessary. Education and Experience A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required for this role.
