Job Overview As a Customer Engineer supporting our Client Security Services business, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Security Sales and Google Cloud groups, to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand client technical and compliance concerns, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers. Your deep understanding of cloud security matters, such as threat detection, malware analysis, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems, will be crucial in delivering compelling technical presentations, product briefings, proofs of concept, and demos to clients, partners, and Google Cloud Platform stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Security Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business potential opportunities, understand client technical and compliance concerns, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers. Maintain high levels of technical knowledge and work with Google Cloud Security products to demonstrate and validate solution benefits in client and partner environments. Stay up-to-date with industry insights. Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and relationships by being responsible for the technical aspects of solutions, including delivering convincing technical presentations, product briefings, proofs of concept, and demos to clients, partners, and Google Cloud Platform stakeholders. Design and deliver product messaging with the goal of highlighting our solutions' value using strategies including whiteboard and slide presentations, product demos, white papers, trial management, and request for information response documents. Attend client sites, conferences, and other related events, where applicable. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent reasonable experience. At least 2 years of experience in security or cloud native models in a customer-facing or technical sales engineering role. Experience in network security matters, such as threat detection, malware analysis, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems. Experience communicating freely and delivering technical presentations. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent reasonable experience. Certification in Cloud or Security industry. Experience implementing enterprise security solutions, such as threat location and hunting, malware analysis, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems. Knowledge of broad product and solution sets of market trends in the network security industry (e.g., ransomware, attack vectors, zero trust, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
