About the RoleAs a Data Scientist, you will be a key partner and data steward to product managers, engineers, and designers, driving data-informed decision-making across the Citizen experience to improve users’ safety. You’ll be responsible for uncovering actionable insights, measuring feature impact, and advocating for best practices surrounding data. This is a hands-on role that blends analytics rigor with strong product intuition and a passion for improving user experience through data. Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze user behavior and product usage to identify trends and opportunities for product growth and engagementEffectively translate data into clear, actionable recommendations to define the product roadmap and to make feature improvement decisionsPartner with Product, Engineering, and Design to guide strategic decisionsDesign and analyze experiments to measure feature impact and recommend ship decisionsAdvocate for best practices in data usage, experimentation, and metrics reporting to ensure accuracy and reliabilityBuild data pipelines and develop dashboards and self-service tools to aid stakeholdersQualifications & SkillsRequired:2–4 years of experience in a data science or product analytics role. Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python or R). Strong understanding of statistical analysis, causal inference, and experimentation designExperience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Sigma) and data platforms (e.g., Bigquery)Preferred (Nice-to-Have):Understanding of data modeling and ETL pipelines. Previous experience as Product DS working on product driven start-upsMaster's or Ph. D. Degree in a quantitative fieldSalary RangeThis role offers a base salary of $150,000–$175,000 per year, plus equity.
