Who are you? You have a proven track record of developing and implementing QA processes, technologies, and developing automated testingYou bring a strong sense of ownership to QA, are proactive and highly self-driven, with a strong passion for identifying defectsYou are comfortable reviewing pull requests to understand code changes, identify risk areas, and design targeted feature and regression testsYou have experience with AI tooling, git, and a high-level programming language such as JavaScript, Python, etc (we use TypeScript with Node.js, Selenium/Playwright, and Jest)You’ve got experience with a variety of different testing techniques and when to apply those different techniquesYou have demonstrated leadership experience mentoring team members and driving quality initiativesYou are a self-starter with effective time management in remote working environments and you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentYou love solving problems and collaborating with others to solve those problemsYou excel at strategic thinking and can contribute to architectural discussions from a testing perspectiveOn a regular basis, you’ll be:Planning, developing and managing the QA test plans for multiple product linesLeading QA planning sessions for major features and cross-functional initiativesPerforming QA browser testing with Playwright and translating those tests into automated scripts for future regression coverage. Identifying quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggesting (and implementing) actions for improvementInvestigating product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfactionUsing a variety of tools to discover and root cause issues, including db queries with SQL, browser dev tools, and web request tools (e.g. Postman)Mentoring QA engineers and conducting code reviews of test scriptsCollaborating with development leads and product managers on quality standards and testing strategyParticipating in architectural discussions to ensure testability and quality are built into the system designTriaging bug reports and working to reproduce those bugsYou’re gonna crush it if:You have 5+ years of QA experience with demonstrated leadership and strategic planning experienceYou have experience leading testing efforts for complex, multi-component systemsYou've become familiar with the downsides of both under-engineering and over-engineering, and developed an appreciation for working pragmaticallyYou seek clarity, and as much simplicity as the underlying problem domain will allowYou have a track record of successfully mentoring team members and driving process improvementsYou can effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersYou realize the real project work happens when the last 20% is being completed - the handling of edge cases, errors, and interesting scenarios is where the real magic happensCompensation & Benefits:Salary range: $140k-$160kHealth, Vision, & Dental Benefits - generous company-sponsored health plans for both employees and dependents, including comprehensive vision & dentalWellness/Mental Health - shared benefits to be used among employees and familiesFlexible Paid Time Off - allowing employees to find balance in their livesOptions of Equity - we know our success is nothing without our teamAccess to a 401k through GuidelineA home office setup and a monthly stipend to offset internet and phone costs Our Team.
