Job Profile
- Collect, clean, and analyze economic data (GDP, inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, debt, trade flows, etc.).
- Develop and maintain econometric models (DSGE, VAR/SVAR, Taylor Rule frameworks, etc.) to support forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Monitor central bank policies, government announcements, and global economic developments, and assess their implications.
- Prepare research briefs, reports, charts, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and update databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
- Support economist and other analysts in thematic policy studies and special projects.
- Translate quantitative analysis into clear insights for decision-makers.
Applicant Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Hons), with specialization in econometrics preferred.
- At least 1 year of work experience in economic research or a related field.
- Solid academic background in macroeconomics, microeconomics, international economics, and quantitative analysis.
- Proficiency in statistical and econometric software (STATA, Excel; knowledge of R or EViews is advantageous).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, analytical rigor, and a strong work ethic.
- Experience working with macroeconomic, financial, or policy-related datasets.
- Familiarity with forecasting models and advanced quantitative methods
- Ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Motivation to stay updated on global and domestic economic developments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
