Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Front End Pharmacy Technician to join our Omnicare team. As a key member of our closed-door pharmacy, you will perform order entry tasks, collaborate with other team members in the medication dispensing process, and provide exceptional customer service. A Day in the Life of a Front End Pharmacy Technician As a Front End Pharmacy Technician, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks and responsibilities, including: Triage customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required, ensuring timely and effective communication. Calculate and/or verify correct dosage based on prescriptions, utilizing your knowledge and skills to ensure accuracy and patient safety. Assist in reviewing narcotic prescriptions to ensure they are processed in a timely manner, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies. Provide dispensing pharmacists with critical information regarding allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items flagged by the computer system, contributing to the safe and effective use of medications. Create and maintain accurate customer records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards. Required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field. One or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician, with a strong foundation in pharmacy operations and customer service. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Prior experience in the long-term care industry, with a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges of this patient population. PTCB National Certification, indicating your advanced knowledge and skills in pharmacy technology. Education A verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required for this position, demonstrating your foundational knowledge and skills. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is $30.00 - $60.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. The actual base salary offer will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your qualifications, experience, and location.
