Reporting to the Specialty Testing Customer Service Support Supervisor, this fast-paced work-from-home position is part of a dedicated team responsible for providing assistance to patients and clients to better understand health insurance coverage, cost and payment options and to answer billing questions over the phone. Responsibilities:Ability to work in a high call volume environment, averaging ~75 calls per day from patients, doctor’s offices and/or private insurance carriersAbility to research and communicate complex information in a clear/concise mannerAbility to navigate and work on multiple systems/websites simultaneously. Provide assistance to clients and patients,regarding any questions or inquiries related to insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and/or billingCollaborate with other departments to resolve reimbursement opportunitiesReceive and process credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocolsInitiate payment plans for patients for outstanding balancesDocument telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systemsUpdate and maintain records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections and case noteMaintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines/regulationsAssist with other duties as assignedQualifications: Associates degree with at least1+ yearprior relevant work experience OR High School diploma/GED equivalent with at least 3 +years of relevant work experiencePrior Healthcare experience strongly preferred with strong preference given to professional medical billing and collection practices Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) strongly preferred Previous customer service experience handling high call volume strongly preferred Medicare/Medicaid billing experience preferred Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes strongly preferred Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) preferred Working knowledge of prior authorization preferred Understanding of Women’s Health & Genetics Moms Helping Moms of Tomorrow processes preferredXIFIN experience preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Other desired skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy Must be organized and detail-oriented Computer proficiency - MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerRemote Technical Requirements:Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per secondAbility to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cordEquipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi or satellite internet Application window closes: 8/19/2025 Pay Range: $15.50-$20.00 per hour Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-6:00pm EST All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
