Job Overview As a Certified Technician II Specialty, you will be working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to perform routine and specialized technical and clerical duties for drug distribution to patients. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week benefited position, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm. You will be an integral part of our pharmacy team, responsible for preparing prescription and non-prescription medication, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities Answers phones and triages customer service issues in a professional and courteous manner Prepares prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices with accuracy and attention to detail Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines (ADMs) and/or robots, such as shelves, carousels, and Parata Serves as a preceptor and assists with the orientation and training of pharmacy department staff, sharing knowledge and expertise to promote a culture of excellence Communicates supply issues, problems, or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel in a timely and effective manner Assists in revising policy and procedure to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards Delivers medications to beds or patient care areas, ensuring timely and safe delivery of essential medications Performs purchasing and billing functions, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations Establishes and maintains training materials, contributing to the ongoing education and development of the pharmacy team Inpatient Responsibilities Prepares intravenous admixtures or other sterile drug products (excluding antineoplastic medications) in accordance with USP chapter under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist Prepares or compounds non-sterile, non-antineoplastic drug products in accordance with USP chapter under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist Maintains the hardware and software of the department's multiple computer systems, ensuring efficient and effective operation Outpatient Responsibilities Electronically processes prescription orders and prepares prescriptions for verification by a pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Processes third-party claims, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Performs in the call center, mail order processing, takes verbal orders from providers, runs registers, data entry, production, and transfers prescriptions, providing exceptional customer service and support Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: Associate's degree in a health or related field, with 1 year of pharmacy experience, or the equivalent in education and experience preferred Ability to flexibly work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail Strong customer service skills, including phone interactions, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines in a dynamic environment Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations, remaining calm and professional in high-pressure situations Required Licensure and Certifications Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire for Pharmacy Technicians in the Retail or Specialty Pharmacy if required to administer immunizations What We
