About the Role The Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Development Director in creating, executing, and reporting on the annual fundraising and communications plan. This involves a wide range of tasks, from managing major donor relationships and crafting compelling communications to organizing special events and analyzing database reports. Key Responsibilities Assist the Development Director in developing and implementing the annual fundraising and communications plan, ensuring alignment with Bridgercare's overall mission and goals. Manage and execute various fundraising tasks, including major donor cultivation, appeal mailers, digital communications, and physical newsletters. Collaborate with the Development Director to plan and execute Bridgercare's annual marketing strategy, enhancing the organization's visibility and impact. Support the donations process, including writing thank-you letters and stewarding donor relationships. Work with contracted grant writers to secure funding for clinic operations, expanding Bridgercare's resources and reach. Develop, manage, and report on special events designed to raise funds and foster connections with clients, donors, and supporters. Produce quarterly, project, and other database reports as needed, providing insights that inform strategic decision-making. Participate in high-quality professional continuing education to stay abreast of best practices in fundraising and non-profit management. Help organize and facilitate the Brand Ambassador program, leveraging the power of storytelling to amplify Bridgercare's mission. Manage and grow the monthly donor program (the Pill Pack) on an annual basis, ensuring its continued success and impact. Support the growth of the Montana Family Planning statewide fundraising program, contributing to Bridgercare's broader goals. Steward Bridgercare stakeholder groups, monthly donors, and volunteers through regular communications, nurturing these vital relationships. Participate in story gathering for publicity and staff engagement, helping to capture the essence of Bridgercare's work and impact. Engage in agency staff meetings, trainings, and Board meetings as requested by the Executive Director, ensuring alignment and collaboration across the organization. Serve on workplace committees as needed, contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment. Develop and execute press and media outreach strategies, elevating Bridgercare's profile and influence. Coordinate advocacy efforts with partners and volunteers, amplifying the organization's voice and impact. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as communications, marketing, or non-profit management) and a minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, communications, or a related field. A proven track record of success in fundraising, with a deep understanding of non-profit operations and the challenges faced by organizations like Bridgercare.
